The complete cleaning process, however, is not as simple as wash, rinse, dry, and repeat. Each step is dependent on the condition and material of the damaged objects. One mistake can further damage or completely destroy it.

The Process

As the owner of the damaged valuables, it is better to know how the whole cleaning process works, because it will help make the job easier for both you and the professional cleaners.

Step 1: Evaluate the extent of the damage and determine the correct cleaning process of each item.

Step 2: Proceed with the correct course of action, which may include:

  • Sorting of salvageable and non-salvageable content
  • On-site cleaning
  • Professional pack out
  • Processing of contents into the cleaning facility
  • Deodorizing of items
  • Restoration of furniture, documents, artworks, collectibles, etc.
  • Storing of contents either on-site or in our facility
  • Ultrasonic cleaning

Step 3: Receive authorization of both parties (client or client’s insurance agent, and company).

Step 4: Price estimation of the overall process.

Step 5: Receive authorization to perform the agreed upon cleaning or restoration process. This may also include any subcontractors for:

  • Cleaning
  • Repairs
  • Restoration of contents
  • Electronics diagnostic testing
  • Dry cleaning services

Step 6: Facilitating, scheduling, and follow through of the action plan.

Step 7: Routine follow up.

Step 8: Closing the claim with the insurance adjuster.

Do not waste your time and resources by salvaging your valuables all by yourself.
